This recorded webinar will review the GOC’s fitness to practise process. It will give up-to-date statistics regarding the number and source of complaints and will review the findings of 4 recent cases heard by the FTP panels, analysing the reasons behind the decisions made.

Cases will be drawn from the past 6 months and will include findings on record keeping, honesty and criminal convictions. They will review cases against Optometrists and DOs. It is unlikely there will be cases against CLOs or IP optoms, but the points discussed will address the core competencies for those specialist groups as well. In particular those around standards of practice.

Delegates will learn by example what is and what is not found acceptable by the FTP panel.
